How do I end a Preferred Supplier Relationship?
Ending a Preferred Supplier Relationship will mean the customer no longer benefits from the reduced administration that is available to them. Either a customer or supplier can end a relationship.
Should either party end a Preferred Supplier Relationship (either deliberately or in error), the customer is able to request you become a preferred supplier again. All settings will be remembered if the relationship is re-established.
The process of ending a Preferred Supplier Relationship can be triggered by either the customer or you, the supplier.
Once the relationship has ended, the customer will no longer be able to:
- make bookings with you, without you first providing a quote for them to accept/reject
- benefit from custom service level agreements
- benefit from manual invoicing, instead defaulting to automated invoicing (an invoice per booking)
If you are certain you need to end the preferred supplier relationship, bear in mind the customer will be notified immediately (or vice versa if the the customer ends the relationship).
To end a preferred supplier relationship:
- Click on Customers
- On the list of customers, tick the cross button next to the relevant customer
You will see a confirming pop-up telling you what will happen next. On confirmation, an email will be sent to both you and the customer, confirming the relationship has ended.
What happens to my bookings with the customer?
Klerky will allow you both to proceed with any bookings which have not yet been completed.
You (or the customer) can at your discretion decide how to handle these, by either fulfilling any outstanding bookings, or to cancel them. You can do this for each booking relevant to the customer.
What happens if I do this in error, or we need to restart the preferred supplier relationship?
We'll remember the settings from your ended preferred supplier relationship, just in case this is done in error, or if you decide to start working together again.
We appreciate some working relationships are based on seasonality, and aren't indefinitely terminated. This means you can pick up where you left off in terms of your service level agreement, invoicing and rate cards.
